What Treatment Should I Take For Deviated Nasal Septum ?
hello doctor after my ct scan of paranasal i get following report. plz help DEVIATED NASAL SEPTUM EVIDENCE OF SOFT TISSUE DENSITY SEEN IN THE RIGHT ETHMOIDAL AIR CELL, SUGGESTIVE OF SINUSITIS
Hi welcome to HCM. You have sinusitis of your ethmoidal sinus (one of your sinuses--sinuses are bone-free pockets in the facial skeleton to keep it light and sinusitis is inflammation inside these pockets).
You also have deviated nasal septum that is the partition inside your nose that divides it into two) is deviated to one side, leading to blocking on the narrowed side. This narrowing leads to mucous accumalation, and also back pressure, pushing excess mucous into the sinuses also. You should consult a good endoscopist ENT surgeon who will operate on the deviated septum to solve your problem. Meanwhile you can do inhalation with 'KARVOL' or eucalyptus oil and instil plain saline nasal drops to keep the nostrils and sinuses clear and unclogged. Hope I have adequately and fully answered your query. Regards
