hi my niece is 4 years old and she is suffering from bleeding problems. her gums are not stronger enough even when she eats chips blood start to come out from her gums. i shall be grateful to all of u if u help us out from this problem
Bleeding gums in four year child can be due to local and systemic causes.
Local causes like improper oral hygiene, plague and calculus deposition can be treated with complete mouth scaling and polishing.
Develop a habit of brushing her teeth twice daily with a soft bristle toothbrush, use antiseptic mouthwash gargles for her.
It can be due to nutritional deficiencies, blood disorders i would suggest you to visit to a Child Specialist and get the checkup done.
Your 4 year baby 's gums may be tearing while eating chips since it is not a soft eatable.
Also give nutritious food, fruits and fluids.
To improve gingival health,vitamin-c fruits and becosules can be administered.
Take oranges and lemon.
Iron supplements can be given frequently.
rinse your baby's MOUTH after every meals.
Brush using fluoridated toothpaste and use only pea-sized toothpaste.
Take care

Hello and Welcome to HCM,
Thanks for writing to us.
Gum disease is caused by a build-up of plaque on the teeth. Plaque is a sticky substance that contains bacteria.
Some bacteria in plaque is harmless, but some is very harmful for the health of your gums. If you do not remove plaque from your teeth by brushing them, it will build up and irritate your gums, leading to inflammation and soreness.
Mild cases of gum disease can usually be treated or 'reversed' by maintaining a good level of oral hygiene. This includes brushing your teeth using an effective technique at least twice a day and flossing daily.
If necessary, your dentist will be able to give your teeth a thorough clean and remove any hardened plaque
Hope this helps you.
Wishing you good health...
Regards.
Hello,
Your niece seems to be suffering from gingivitis. Her parents should guide her in brushing her teeth properly. If the brushing is not proper it will result in accumulation of plaque over the teeth and result in inflammation of the gums. brushing of teeth should be done twice a day especially before retiring to bed.
Hello dear
First of all it is not normal if bleeding occurs from gums of 4 year old girl. So i will suggest you to see a dentist first and then a physician.Capillary fragility can be the condition where even soft things provoke bleeding.second possibility is that her oral hygiene is below poor, that can lead to spontaneous bleeding .so on a serious note consult a dentist and a physician.

Good Day
Bleeding gums could be due to many reasons. Starting from local causes it could be due to poor dental hygiene and plaque accumulation or tooth decay. If she has Vitamin C deficiency also there is bleeding gums. Does she have fever. Is she gaining weight normally. She needs to get her blood work done at a Hospital and first get evaluated by a Dentist to rule out common local causes. After that he may refer to Paediatrician if needed. As of now don't let her eat chips as that could be causing trauma on fragile gums. Give her soft diet. She needs to hydrate well.
