What Treatments Are Advisable For Irregular Periods Causing Small Clots And Change Of Colour From Bright Red To Dark Red ?

Had my menstryaul period finished and then it returned 2 1/2 weeks later(fast). Now still bleeding since last Tuesday 12/10/13. Goes from bright red to dark red, saw small clots a couple of times. I do have fibroids in the uterus. I'm 51 yrs old. What is happening. Never happened before. No pain ,cramping last Tuesday was like normal when period coming.

Hi,Dear.Welcome to HEALTHCARE MAGIC.
The problem with you is called as dysfunctional uterine bleeding.If you are having it for more than 7 days then you are supposed to visit your GP.The bleeding can be due to the fibroids or it can be pre menopausal symptom.
So you should go to the doctor and Get yourself checked .
