What Triggers The Outbreak Of Cold Sores?

Hi I had a cold sore pop up about a week and a half ago it is currently healing another one just popped up last night i am not feeling particularly stressed and have a healthy diet and work out a lot i also am not sick is there anything that i could be doing that could be triggering this outbreak?

As per your complain cold sores are caused due to Herpes Virus 1 infection and it is a recurring infection and many a times recurring eruptions are seen in conditions when the body immunity is low, hormonal changes, allergies, sunlight exposure, stress and other viral infections like common cold..

Nothing to worry, consult an Infectious medicine specialist or a Dermatologist and get evaluated and a long course of oral and topical anti-viral medicines like Acyclovir, Valacyclovir can help decreasing the frequency of the outbreaks..

Along with it you should also avoid close contact with other individuals when there is an active outbreak because it is contagious infection..
Also keep your personal belongings like towels, napkin, glasses etc separate to prevent spread of infection to other..
