What Type Of Doctor To Visit For Elevated Sed Rate And Liver Enzymes?
I have chronic osteomyelitis and pancreatitis. My doctor is dr Arlene Hansen at mayo in Rochester. I am currently taking 1000 mg of cephlexen a day. My last blood test showed elevated sed rate (never been high even with chronic osteomyelitis). I also have an elevated liver enzymes and overwhelming hot flashes for three years. I take oxycodone one time a day. What type of doctor should I see?
Thanks for consulting at my virtual clinic. I have carefully worked through your case, and I can realize your health worries. Being your physician, I assure you not to worry as I will take care all of your medical concerns.
You need to consult a Gastroentrologist as he is trained to deal such cases. He will need to screen you for hepatitis, will see the medications you are taking and will treat you accordingly.
Hope it helps. If you need further, detailed and quick assistance related to any health issues in future, feel free to 'ask me a question' directly from my profile.
Have a wonderful time ahead.
Best Regards!
