What Type Of Incision Is Made During A Colon Cancer Surgery?
I am having Colon cancer surgery in the morning. I am trying to find out what type of incision will depend made. The cancerous condition is in the lower ascending colon diagnosis was very early. I am hopeful resection is possible all indication from doctor/surgeon that it is. Can you give me some insight?
Hello The standard incision here would be a midline incision from just below the sternum to about three inches below the belly button. Most likely the skin will be closed with surgical staples.
