Hello,
Welcome to HCM,
If there is a big abscess which is creating all the problem and if it is not coming down by the medicine it should be treated by incision and drainage.
While doing incision and drainage, local anesthesia will be given around the abscess it will anesthetized that area and then procedure will be done to remove the pus in it.
This procedure doesnot require general anesthesia, local anesthesia is sufficient.
After doing the procedure oral antibiotics and analgesics will be prescribed to the patient to prevent the infection.
As you are frequently getting these abscess, you have to undergo blood testing to find out the other causes of the abscess.
Thank you.
