What Will Be The Result Of Urine Alcohol Analysis After Drinking Liquor?

I drank half a pint of 92 proof liquor 20 hours before a lab test that to my knowledge conducts a standard (basic) urine alcohol analysis. Will i pass or fail? Also, what are the detection times after drinking this amount of alcohol with the different types of urine testing methods?

Understanding your concern.

As per your query you had urine alcohol analysis after drinking alcohol around 20 hours before, most probable chances are the test will show presence of alcohol in urine as alcohol can last from 12 to 36 hours in your urine depending on how long before the test and how much you had alcohol.

Urine tests for alcohol can detect its presence about 48 hours after ingestion by method known as “EtG”, which is used to test for the presence of a related chemical in the urine, then the results will be able to determine if alcohol has been ingested within the last 70-80 hours.

Breathalyzers detect alcohol in the blood within 24 hours of drinking.

Urinalysis by two methods such as 24 hr urine collection and clean catch urine method can detect its presence with in 24 hrs of drinking.
