What Will Happen To The Head When It Got Slammed Into The Support Beam?

While running up the basement stars, I slammed the top of my head into the support beam. Nothing is broken or bleeding, though I am shocked and upset. Its been about 45 minutes. Do I need to watch for anything? I Probably wrenched the upper cervical muscles but I can deal with that.

Should consult the doctor if there is severe headache or vomiting , giddiness, vertigo, imbalance. Even if there is some non specific complain bothering you in routine activity, consult the doctor.
