What Would A Lump Just Above Stomach Possibly Be?

I am 5 11, 23 years young, 226 lbs (recently 242) - been working out to lose weight, eating healthier... etc.. and last night I had a bad meal. It wasn t a huge meal but it left me with heartburn. This morning I woke up and was yawning and stretching only to feel a lump just above my stomach and in the center where my rib cage meets. It is tender now that I have been fooling with it and I m not sure if that was already tender or my doing. I am scheduled to follow up with my doctor in 13 days concerning my diet, low hdl, and 104 blood sugar. Should I go to ER? Should I see my doctor earlier than scheduled? Will I be okay?

Hi,understood your query facts.Based on these facts,you seem to have-Epigastric Hernia.Heartburn after bad meal ,was incidental.Actually you had obstructed Epigastric Hernia with a tender lump just below the center of the rib cage.
Don't wait for a follow up visit with your doctor.
You should consult your ER Surgeon and get hospitalised for further treatment,as things are serious.
You seem to have-Impacted Epigatric Ventral Hernia.
Keep Nil By Mouth.
Get the USG of the lump in stomach.
If its not reducible,Surgeon would plan emergency Hernia repair for reduction of the obstructed Epigastric Hernial Contents.
This reply would help you to plan treatment with your ER Surgeon urgently and immediately.
