What Would Be The Prognosis Of Sarcoidosis?
My 32 y/o grandson has been dx. With sarcoidosis after suffering for some months with high fever, much pain, to the point of requiring a walker, shortness of breath. Finally figured it out and he is starting prednisone today. I m concerned about prognosis.

1St of all sarcoidosis diagnosis is based on what, that is important...whether it is only made from CT or biopsy also has been taken...if biopsied, then it is confirmatory..if it is sarcoidosis, then prognosis depends on stage of the disease which is based on xray chest...if stage 4- then already disease has been progressed much, then there would not be much recovery...but in early stages prognosis is good with steroids & if not responding,then with other drugs
