What Would Black Gritty Vomit Be Due To?
My father vomited a small amount of clear vomit with what appears to be pepper. Almost like black sand. Then he vomited a second time with more black sand looking stuff in it. Some of this was clumped together. I ve heard to look for a coffee grind appearance. But the pepper / fine sand has me thrown off. Any ideas?

I really appreciate your concern and looking to the history given here for your father I could say that the chances of internal bleeding in Gastro-intestinal tract is likely and in my opinion this need to be ruled out and for that first is vomited contained should be examined and second is endoscopy of GI tract, hope this information helps you, have a nice day.
