What Would You Advise In The Choice Of Bypass Or Stents?
I have an acute care question. My father has been admitted to the hospital for possible heart attack. Is in critical condition. Angiogram is currently being performed. Bypass surgery or stents are the options presented. How long does an Angiogram take? What is the primary decision in the choice of bypass or stents?
hello. if patients is brought to the intensive cardiac care unit within 45 min ... usually angioplasty (stents) are preferred n if in angiogram many blocks are found then a planned by pass surgery is opted. however cardiologists make the right decisions based on the type of case n the prognosis expected.... thank u.
