When I am sleeping on either side, that arm and hand has pain with numbness and tingling. It's not like when your hand or foot "goes to sleep". It has gradually gotten worse, and seriously affects my sleep. The worse part is when I get off my side, that is when the real pain occurs going down from my shoulder into my hand, where it feels like it is swelling with pain. Then it goes slowly goes away over about a 10 minute period.
