When I Go Out Into Cold Air And It Hits

When I go out into cold air and it hits my face, my sinuses feel tight and painful. This usually leads to pain in the face under my eyes and extreme exhaustion which can last for a few days. Can I possibly be allergic to cold weather? I am a non-smoker, 45 years old and very active. I would like to ski this year but am afraid to do so at this point. Thank you
