When I Sit Up From A Lying Position There Is

When I sit up from a lying position there is a 5" long by 3" wide bulge in my abdomen just below my breast bone that bulges out around 1 1/2". I noticed this bulging two to three weeks ago. It does not seem to be painful but is a scary thing to see. What the heck is going on?
