When I wake in the night and go to the bathroom, as I am walking I have a strange tingling in the big toe on my left foot. It is always the big toe on my left foot. The first time it happened, the tingling was so pronounced, I thought a bug was on my toe or something, but when I turned on the bathroom light, there was nothing there. Only happens at night when I get up after sleeping for a while to go to the bathroom. Is this tingling in my left big toe an indication of heart problems or possible coming heart attack? I am 63 years old, weigh 178 pounds, and have never had a heart problem or heart attack or stroke of any kind. Should I see my General Practitioner about this? Thanks for your reply?
