When Can I Start Drinking Alcohol After Taking Isonaziad Tablets?

Hello, i have latent tb and have been taking isonaziad for around 7 months...i was wondering how long i have to wait until i can drink after im done taking the meds...or how bad is it to quit 1 month and a half early?? ( my doctor wants me to take them for 9 months?

Hello
As you stated that you are having LATENT TUBERCULOSIS and doctor prescribed , isoniazid .
Treatment for latent tuberculosis :300 mg daily for 6 months;alternatively 5 mg / kg daily or 15 mg/ kg twice weekly for 9 months .
Above mentioned regime the standard treatment for latent tuberculosis recommended by WHO .
Patients at risks of NEUROPATHY if take alcohol during treatment.
So in my opinion the best way is complete treatment for whole 9 months and then take any decision regarding alcohol intake .Good luck.
