When Can Seroquel Be Taken After Having Fluconizole?
Good afternoon, Doctor. My wife took a Fluconizole on Wednesday and was prescribed Seroquel on Friday by her psychiatrist. I understand there is a drug interaction between the two. She took 150mg of Seroquel before we found out there was a drug interaction. How long after she took the fluconizole can she take another Seroquel? She s having a pretty severe psychiatric episode and could really use the Seroquel about now. Thank you. - Frank Visage
Fluconazole may increase seroquel plasma levels and thus its toxicity. For this reason, I would recommend reducing the dose of seroquel while taking fluconazole. You should discuss with her doctor on the above issues.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
