Hi, I hope you can help me. So history: I’m 25 years old and live a relatively healthy lifestyle. I use cocaine very rarely, (once a month, sometimes going 2-3-4 months not using) the last time being 2 weeks ago. I am a non smoker and drink every other weekend. I have always wanted a nose job and recently booked one with one of the best surgeons in the country paying out right as there was a cancellation. When I received my information pack it stated to stop smoking, drinking and takin recreation drugs 3 weeks prior to the op. I have my procedure in 3 weeks and have only today seen online that you are meant to be cocaine free for 6 months before the op due to the blood vessels in my nose being smaller after the cocaine. My problem is that I am unable to reschedule my allointment without loosing a lot of money that I have already paid. I am not happy to discus this with my surgeon as he knows my partners family very well. I understand that healing might be hindered and I except that, but is there a chance that I will be okay and it will just take extra time to heal? I seriously do not use a lot of cocaine, and when it’s time for the op, it would have been 5 weeks since I did use. I have no soreness of the nose at all and have never had any issues with it. Please advise and many thanks, Jade
