When Can One Test For Pregnancy After Experiencing Irregular Brown Vaginal Discharge?

Hello Doctor. Actually my last periods date was 20th of July. And still periods haven t shown up. My cycle is nearly of 40-45 days. But since 2-3 days I am experiencing light brown and dark brown shaded fluid in thick creamy texture. What is your suggestion. Should I wait for few more days or should I go for a pregnancy test?

Hi,

Pregnancy is unlikely. You can go for a beta-hCG test to check whether you are pregnant or not. The symptoms are more likely of infective condition like yeast or bacterial vaginosis. You can go for a vaginal swab to confirm the diagnosis. As of now you can use Clotrimazole lotion to cleanse your genitals.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
