When Can You Re-dose A Patient With Ketorolac After They Have Received Scheduled Doses For 5 Days?
When can you re-dose a patient with ketorolac after they have received scheduled doses for 5 days? For example, Patient PN received ketorolac 30mg IVP q6h x 5 days from 1/11-1/16 and now MD is requesting to give another 5 days of ketorolac doses scheduled around the clock.

When Can You Re-dose A Patient With Ketorolac After They Have Received Scheduled Doses For 5 Days?
Hi, I understand your concern. Usually, ketorolac is used in cases of moderate severe pain especially in post-operative patients. This is used only for short-term (5 days). If used IVP as in the case of the patient you presented, it can be used for another 5 days orally, but at the lowest dose. Hope this answers your query.
