When Do Periods Begin After Stopping Petogen Injection?

Hi There, I started petogen injetcion in dec. 2015 and had my last shot in May 2016. It s now almost the end of November 2016. Why has my period not returned and why have i not lost weight? I was always 65kg and since May/June i picked up 20kg s. Thats my reason for stopping so soon. Besides loss of libido still present and I am 34 yrs? Please advise what i can do, I am on a eating plan, excercising aroung 30mins every second day, no carbs but it s like the petogen set-off a reaction in my body? pls help me. Thank you

Hello,

Petogen is a long-acting progesterone hormone injection.

Weight gain, loss of libido and irregular periods are few of petogen injection's side effects but as you stop this injection all the side effects will gradually wane off.

It usually takes 12 weeks for this drug to get out of your system after you stop it. But as you mentioned, your periods have still not started even after 20 weeks.

I'd suggest waiting for another couple of weeks before you consult your Gynec for exact reasons for this delay.
