Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hi, My periods are regular either 28days or 30day cycle. Am going to start taking Deviry to delay periods by 10 days in April. Would uld like to know what cycle will start in the following month i.e May, will it be a 28/30 day cycle as per delayed date of periods in April or will it go back to the normal cycle?
Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.
Usually, after delivery, periods won't start until your breastfeeding stopped. Prolactin hormone responsible for milk secretion which may prevent getting ova to fertilize.
It may also cause irregular cycles also. So don't worry, just get it done UPT (Urine pregnancy test) if it is normal, then just wait and watch.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards, Dr. Penchila Prasad kandikattu
