Hi.. Its been 31 days i got my periods.. it was 24 days cycle earlier. since i dint get periods i took urine pregnancy test which came out negative. But doctor suggested me to take Duphuston 10MG tablets for three days one in the morning and one at night.. is there any way it will be helpful to show the pregnancy result positive after a week or few days or would i end up getting my periods? I am tensed please guide
Hi, I think duphaston is a progesterone. It is given to support the pregnancy if you are pregnant. It will help in inducing periods if you are not pregnant. Take it for 5 days atleast. You can wait for one week after stopping the tablet. If periods don't come, repeat a pregnancy test. If negative, you may need a combination of oestrogen and progesterone for inducing periods. It can happen due to some stress factor or hormonal imbalances also. Hope it helps.
