When Do Periods Begin After Taking Fertomid?

Hello good day please I am confused my doctor gave me fertomid 100mg I took it for 5days on my last cycle now my period is late for two days i did every pt and it came out all negative then my doctor suggested I go for pregnyl shot which he gave me but I still haven t seen my period and pregnant test is negative

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

Fertomid is a ovulation stimulator. Period after Fertomid would depend on weather there was fertilization after the pills.

-If there was unprotected sex & fertilization had taken place you would have pregnancy &no periods.
-In case there was no ovulation & fertilisation the period would be around normal date.
-If both the things do not happen you might be having ovulation problem like PCOD.

* pregnancy test is +'ve only after 8 days delay in pregnancy test by Urine pregnancy test /It can be positive around expected day of menses only by blood HCG testing. You should get test done in proper time to confirm/exclude pregnancy when you take Fertomid.
