Doc. Gud noon im mae i started taking micro pill plus after i finished my 28 tablets my menstrual period didnt occured yet then i cont. Taking new stab of micro pill as of now i take 7 tablets but my menstrual didnt occured till now what should i do??
Oral contraception can cause a delay in the period or a decrease in the bleeding seen. This is not an unusual reaction.
You should take the pills as prescribed by your doctor but if you are not comfortable then you should see your doctor for an assessment. Other causes of delayed period are: (1) emotional stress or illness (2)high prolactin hormone levels (3)physical illness (4)abnormal levels of thyroid hormone (5)polycystic ovarian syndrome (6)excess physical activity (7)inadequate diet
If you wish to make sure that that there are no other causes, your doctor can do bloods to check for any of these.
I hope this helps
