When Does One Take Norethisterone Before The Periods Due Date?

can you take Norethisterone 7 days before a period is due? I am concerned as to whether the tablets will make me feel ill - starting the tablets 7 days before my due on date would allow time to stop and hopefully have a period before my holiday should they not suit me...
