When Does The Fetus Head Drop During Pregnancy?

Hi today i am 37 weeks 5days pregnant. i checked with the doctor at 37 weeks and she said the baby is not dropped yet. i am worried now and not sure if my baby is still dropped or not. this is my first pregnancy and would not like to go with c section. plz suggest/advice are there chances for my baby to drop. According to my doc. He is head down position.

Thanks for posting in HCM.
33 to 37 weeks are last few weeks of your pregnancy before the foetus achieves what is called "maturity". The foetus by the end of this period is ready for delivery to the outside world.
One thing, which is most significant to happen during this time, is "LIGHTENING" OR "DROPPING DOWN" of the baby. In first pregnancy, this usually happens by the 36th week. In others it may happen as late as in labour.
But nothing to worry, it may happen few days late too in some.
Just relax and follow the advise of your doctor as to how you need to deliver the baby.
