When Does Withdrawal Bleeding Start After Using Mankind Unwanted Kit?
Hello doctor, my wife tested positive of pregnant after testing with preg test kit. We are not planning to have kids now so gone with home abortion with mankind Unwanted kit. We took 1tab of mifepristone and after 48hrs took first 2 tab misoprostol and after 12hrs balance 2 tab of misoprostol.she used this kit earlier also and everything was fine but this time bleeding has not started after 12hrs even after taking all tab. What could be the problem pls help.

Because of the risk of severe bleeding, infection or incomplete abortion your wife should not use unwanted kit without consulting a gynecologist. Secondly an ultrasound should be done to know the exact duration of pregnancy and to known whether it is in the uterus or ectopic pregnancy.
Bleeding and cramping almost always start within the first 12 hours and majority of pregnancies up to 12 weeks duration are terminated within hours of the first dose of misoprostol. Based on the given history abortion has not taken place. I advise her to consult a gynecologist for further evaluation and treatment which may involve dilatation and curettage.
