When I Put My Hand In Chest, I Feel No Heartbeat. Reason?
In simple, when I put my hand to my chest I feel no heartbeat. Only when I move my hand below my rib cage to the left I feel a pulse. It has been like this since I can remember... And have never felt pain or dis comfort.
Only when I put my hand over the middle of my chest below my rib cage I feel a beat... No where under my actual chest... Should I worry?
Hello friend, Thank you for the query through Healthcare magic, Your query demands no concern for you. In normal case, putting your hand anywhere on chest you are not supposed to get the feeling of heart beat. Just as you experienced, it is not felt equally on your chest also. With stethoscope even, the audibility of heart beat varies in different areas of chest, different states like contraction and dilatations of the heart, lying or sitting/ standing position of the individual, inspiration or expiration of the lungs etc. What ever you felt is normal and there is nothing to be worried about.
With best wishes , Dr. C. J. Varghese, Homoeopath
