Why LOWTEMP syrup suggested, my daughter is 8 months old, so what is reason behind this. I believe in doctors, but I want to know the reason, because I m working lady, my mother in law is taking care of my child, she does nt know how to use for to educate I want to know
Lotemp syrup contains paracetamol or acetaminophen that is used in the treatment of fever, common cold, toothache, body ache, headache etc. It works by blocking certain chemical mediators which are responsible for causing fever and pain. This is a very safe and effective medication for children if this medication is taken in the dose and duration as directed by the prescribing doctor.
This medication shouldn't be taken more than 4 doses in 24 hours. It is recommended to take after food to prevent GIT upset or irritation. If you notices any side effect during using this medication, then you should consult your child specialist immediately for medical attention.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
