i am 24 years old and i am 175 pounds. i had an infection in my right testicle in december but than i got a sist from it at that time. i have seen a specialist about it but he said it wasn't big enough to do surgery yet and said it should go away. how long do i wait before i go back or how big does it have to get. its getting harder and harder and bigger. and it starts to hurt alot more now to.
Hi, Usually a cyst in the scrotum does not require surgical removal. Only if it is painful or infected does it require removal. If you are having pain as you say, you should consult your surgeon and he can examine you and advice whether surgical removal is the right answer. Without examining you it is very difficult for me to say whether to remove it or not. Second option is to get an Ultrasound Scrotum done and send it to us on the site by leaving a direct or a Specialist query and we can get back to you with exactly what to do. However, cysts usually do not lead to any complications, so do not worry. Take care, Dr Rishi, New Delhi, India.
