When Is Pregnancy Test Advisable Post Intake Of Misoprostol?

it has been 30 days of pregnancy today. i took misoprostol vaginally yesterday after 24 hrs of taking mifepristone orally.. i began to bleed after 3 4 hrs of taking misoprostol. the bleeding was heavy nd continued for about 10 hours. still i took 2 pills of misoprostol after next 12 hrs of the first dose... but i am not finding any more bleeding since after that..is the abortion successful? when should i take the strip test for checking pregnancy.

Hi,

Based on your description it appears that abortion process had happened completely after taking the medication for its induction. However, it is not possible to know about it's completeness by taking pregnancy test.

You need to take an ultrasound scan to know whether all the contents of conception has been aborted completely or not. Kindly consult Obstetrician with the report for clinical evaluation and appropriate management.
