When Is The Best Time To Take Blood Pressure Medication?

My Amlodopine dosage was changed from 2.5mg BID to 2.5mg/1x day last night. I also take metoprolol tartrate 50mg BID & Lisinopril 20mg BID. My dr had ordered my BP meds this way for convince. I get fatique & blurry vision from one of these BP meds. I take Adderall 10mg BID to TID for ADD, Trileptal for BPD. I take baclofen 20mg TID for muscle spasm & TGN and Valium 5mg hs for sleep. I have mild sleep apnea. Last night was treated in the ER for bradycardia & hyponatremia. My question is: When is the best time to take my B/P meds? Which one(s) should I take in the am & which ones should I take hs? Thanks! Fran

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

It mainly depends upon your blood pressure control.

If blood pressure is not under control, then you have to take twice a day.

Usually medications given in the morning.

So kindly consult with physician.

Hope I have answered your query and let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr Shyam Kale
