When Is The Right Time To Take Urine Test For Delayed Periods?
Hi am undergoing PCOS treatment. I have taken 4 injections for every two days. Doctor told my egg size is 34 and prescribed Primolut N from Day 26 to Day 30. My last period was August 14. If I dont get periods after my last dosage, on which day should I undergo Urine test?
Usually around the period of ovulation the ovarian follicle will reach the size of 20 to 22 mm. During that period human chorionic gonadotropin injection is advised to trigger the ovulation. According to your history, you have mentioned your follicle reached around 34 mm, so here the possibility of the luteinized unruptured follicle syndrome has to be ruled out.
Possibly Primolut N for 5 days has given to you to induce withdrawal bleeding. If you do not get withdrawal bleeding even one week to 10 days after stopping the Primolut-N, you can go for a pregnancy test. Blood test for pregnancy can be more accurate results compared with a urine test. If serum beta hCG levels in the blood test of less than 5 mIU/mL, it rules out the possibility of pregnancy.
