When my housemate does her clothes washing I immediately feel ill. My eyes sting , my nose burns as does the back of my throat. The top of my chest becomes painful and my mouth tastes of soap. She uses branded washing powder, stain remover and fabric softener each time. Last night when she came home from work and I was eating I immediately had the same symptoms as she was wearing newly washed clothing. I had to go to the bathroom to vomit.

Is this simply that I am having an allergic reaction or might it be something else?
