Hi,I am Dr. Amitkumar Sharma (Internal Medicine Specialist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
at what time should I take Citalopram 20mg as I have taken them an hour before going to bed (only 5 times so far) and have woke at 4am 5am 6am and I am in full time work and I need my sleep. The only instructions that my GP has given me is 'Take with or just after food or a meal.' I have prescribed these as an anti-depressant .
There is no fixed schedule for taking the citalopram tablets. there are taken once a day, some times given at the bed time but if the patient i finding difficulties to take the tablets at the bed time, it may be a good idea to take them in the morning after the breakfast.
their efficacy are not effected by the time of the day so you can definitely try another time to see how it works.
Thanks.
