Hi & Welcome to HCM.
There's no need to do the same test again.
The "window period" is the time interval between exposed to HIV & to develop a positive test thereafter.
In most of the cases the tests are positive between 4 to 12 weeks upon exposure. Since you've already done this test after 6 months of exposure or sexual encounter ad such there's no need to repeat the test. However, if you wish you can undergo the fourth generation test for HIV.
Mind you get the HIV status done for your partner and use condom to protect yourself in the future.
