Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
My doctor just recommend a script for Isosprbide MN Er 30 mg tabs. I got them from my mail order pharmacy and they are orange/red with the letter N and the number 30 on one side and nothing on the other. Is the right med as I cannot find a picture of this anywhere when I search for this drug? Is it safe to start this drug in the middle of the week when I have to go to work each day?

When Should Isosorbide Mononitrate ER Be Taken?
Hi, ER means extended release. So the effect of this drug will last for 18-24 hours. So you should take it in the morning. And yes, the pill is correct. You might be having chronic anginal chest pain so your doctor has prescribed an extended release drug. Don t worry, start taking it. Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further. Regards, Dr. Kaushal Bhavsar, Pulmonologist
