When Should A Stool Softner Be Taken?
When should I take the stool softener - -after supper - -1 hour - -or on empty stomach - -at bed time? I take Dulcolax - -(2) 2 hours after supper - - after supper ; ;or at bed time. stool is very hard and I feel like I have to go all day long - -but nothing happens. Shirley

Went through your post and predominant complaint of yours is constipation and when to take laxative.
I would suggest you take them at bed time and also take plenty of fluids, fresh fruits and vegetables.
