When Should Contraceptive Pills Be Stopped Before Planning For Pregnancy?

i got married in jan 25th this year and doctor asked me to take familon tablets but i just took in the month of Feb skipped 2months than took in the Month of May and than started taking regular months from the month of July till sept but now many have told me taking tablets are not good so i feel i must stop taking those tablets so please tell me is this tablets having any side effects later for me or my child i want to conceive in the month of May 2011 so should i stop taking the tablets or till which month should i take

There will be no problem for baby. You will get periods immediately after stopping the tablets. After stopping the tablets you can try to conceive. Side effects of contraceptive pills for you may be like weight gain , acne, jaundice, headache which you must be aware of and consult doctor in case of any.
