When Should First Ultrasound Be Taken After Getting Pregnant?

Hi, may I answer your health queries right now ? Please type your query here...Hi, i am 25 years old. I took home pregnancy test which showed positive. Now i am in mid 6th week(LMP : 1st Jan). Please let me know when should i go for ultrasound? Thanks

Welcome to Health care magic.

First ultrasound scan for confirmation of the pregnancy is done 7-8weeks of gestation.

As by that time there will be foetal pole, yolk sac, and cardiac activity will confirm the pregnancy.

Recommended scans are early pregnancy, followed by NT scan(12-14weeks)Nuchal fold thickness for early anomalies, then Anomaly scan at 18-22 weeks, in travel scan at 30-34 weeks, and finally BPP - biophysical profile.
