Hi,I am Dr. Prabhakar Koregol (Cardiologist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Had fibrois surgery, a week later had mirena placed in October of last year. Since then I have had side effects but none that couldn't be delt with. Since January 1st my symptoms have become worse and still bleeding. Start to notice blood pressure was elevated like 145/99. I chalked it up to what has been going on with my body. The last week it has been even worse. Went to gyn and found the mirena can be taken out because strings can't be found. Ultrasound done and have to wait until Monday for results. Blood pressure measured at 160/100 told to see primary. So I did on Friday. EKG was done and was normal. Bp was 145/100. Told need to come back on Wednesday to check bp again before meds will be given. I have been feeling off and went and bought a bp machine.bp 150/101. My question, finally, when or do I worry about my bp?
The worry about blood pressure starts with the diagnosis! It depends on the level, associated morbidity and so on Have basic investigation of other risk factors You have only mild elevation / in spite of situational anxiety, you need drug and follow up – pressure is silent… / see an Internist
