When Should I Get Periods After Having Depo Shot?

I had started taking the birth control depo shot in August of 2013 but my last depo shot was in April of 2014 and I completely stopped getting the shot and I have not gotten a period at all since. My husband and I are trying for a baby but no luck. How can I get my period back?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,
Welcome to the HCM
Dear some time because of hormonal changes, amenorrhea (no period) happen.I would suggest you to get blood estrogen and progesterone level first. Also you may need to get an ultrasound abdomen done to rule out any ovarian problem and discuss further with a gynaecologist.
