When Should The ER Be Visited For High Fever Along With Backache And Dizziness?

My 18 year old has had a fever of at least 102 (103 now) for two days. She also has a lot of back pain this past week and this started first last Sunday, she does have some schlorsis though so not that unusual. Went to urgent care today and they tested for flu and it’s negative and they have no idea what else it could be. She does feel dizzy when standing but No other symptom like a sore throat or anything. How long should I let her go with a high fever before going to hospital?

Hi,

Usually, we wait 3-5 days. If it lasts more than going back to ER for revaluation of blood tests.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
