Hi I want to give you a detailed description of my incident . Some where during the last week of April Mr and my boyfriend tried having sex but it hurt so we stopped. I was paranoid that he might have fun in me so I took a morning after pill. Then on may 6 we finally had sex and he cum I me. So I took another mor ing after pill. I vomitted a while after taking it so I took another one On 12th may I had my period. It was weird because I had just had my period a week before. The bleeding only last for 2 days then stopped. Then on may 15 we had sex. This time we had protection but I was so paranoid that the condom broke and cos I was scared of getting pregnant I took another pill. That makes a total of 4. Since the last time I bled for 2 days till now I have not had my period. I did a home kit pregnancy test and it was negative. Just to be sure I went to the lab to do a blood test which was negative as well. I understand that morning after pills can cause period delays but is this normal? I m Soo scared. I read online about a woman who has not had her period in 4 months cos she took 4 pills in one week. When can I expect my.period. please help me.I m really scared

General & Family Physician, Dr. Vasudha's Response
Hi,
Plan B kis an emergency contraceptive so it contains high dose of hormones.Normally after single dose of plan B ...ovulation and periods get delayed by 8-10 days. You had taken 4 doses haphazardly to cause a complete hormonal imbalance. Please do not take any hormonal preparation till you get periods. Use barrier contraceptive or get Cu T inserted for protection. You may get your normal periods over a months time. Consult your gynecologist for regular contraception.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
