Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Where is the interpolar part of my kidney? My cat scan results say... There is a punctate nonobstructing right interpolar renal calculus. Also my discharge papers say I have nephrolithiasis and calculus of ureter. So do u have a stone in my ureter. These results are confusing me
Kidney poles are the upper and lower part of the kidney. Interpolar area is called the middle part that is between the upper and the lower part. It seems you have a very small stone at the area in the middle of the kidney (in between the two poles) and you also have stones in the ureter (the tube the connects the kidney with the bladder).
I hope this answers your query. I remain at your disposal for further medical assistance.
Regards, Dr. Antoneta Zotaj General and Family Physician
