Whether Intercourse Or Myometrial Fibroid And Cysts Could Be Responsible For Bleeding Followed My Smelly Discharge?
Hi Doctor,
Would you please help me, I'm so worried that I had a bleeding after sex intercouse and 1 day after discharged came out with a very fishy smell with feel pain in the pelvid too. My Pelvic Ultrasound results 1 month ago stated that I had Myometrium is heterogenous with multi fibroid change. The dominant fibroids in the posterior wall and fundus are stagle measuring 5.1x4.9x3.5cm and 1.9cmx1.2cm, respectively. There also scattered small subcentimetre myometrial cysts....Would all of this caused infection inside my uterus & bleeding after intercouse or all it be another problems??? Thanks in advanced for your help!
It is partially true that infection and fibroid changes in your uterus could be causing blood discharge after intercourse.
Another cause could be related to hard sex or the fact that you might be dry when having intercourse.
I'd suggest to get another trans-vaginal ultrasound and vaginal swab testing to further evaluate the status of your cervix and uterus after 1 month of your last screening.
I'd suggest to avoid intercourse when you'd be prescribe some medications. Get your partner tested and treated as well.
All the best! Dr.Alba
