Hi,I am Dr. Subhankar Chakraborty (Gastroenterologist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I want to know which alcohol affects the liver less I mean whiskey or vodka or beer or rum ,,i also all these effects but which 1 has less effects,,,and what should we have while drinking to have less harm full effects on liver,,and two months back i had jaundice 1.3 total, m I safe to drink now ?
Starting from BEER 5-12 %] to any kind of alcoholic drink whether it is whisky, vodka, rum or Gin........scotch, all contains more than 40 % or above alcohol. Only its name is diferent, so all these or other alcoholic drink are bad for your liver, and you have already suffered from jaundice so your liver is already weak. The only good thing for you to LEAVE these things completely. You are not safe to drink alcohol.
its better to avoid it as you have joundice two months back. Beer has less alcohol i.e 8% whiskey has it inbetweeen 15 - 18 %. so it depends on alcohol percentage. So beer is ok. But you should take it occasionally
